The French Culinary Institute, known as "the FCI", offers a world renowned program in French and American cooking in addition to a cutting-edge Pastry Chef program. The FCI is an immersion-based program where students learn and cook at L'Ecole in the heart of culturally vibrant Soho in New York City.

Culinary Institute of America

The Culinary Institute of America, known as "the CIA", has graduated Iron Chef's Cat Cora and Michael Symon. The CIA is non-profit and located in Hyde Park, NY. The college offers both bachelor and associate degrees in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Art.

The CIA offers four restaurants on its campus: Escoffier Restaurant (modern French), Caterina de' Medici (italian), St. Andrew's Café (casual with local ingredients), Apple Pie Bakery Cafe (casual).

Institute of Culinary Education

The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is the oldest American cuisine school in New York City (Chelsea). The ICE specializes in pastry and baking arts and career culinary arts.  Gina DePalma, Pastry Chef at Babbo’s, is a distinguished grad.

The Career Culinary Arts program teaches a wide breadth of culinary skills, and has approximately 700 students.

The Pastry and Baking Arts diploma is currently overseen by pastry chef Nick Malgieri, who emphasizes hands-on learning on designing and baking desserts.

The new larger facility will emphasize creativity and community.  It is in a beautiful space with Hudson River views in lower Manhattan.  Some new features will be an artisan chocolate studio, mixology and wine studies, culinary technology lab and much more.
